About Eastern Coastal Technologies

Straightforward IT support for North Norfolk businesses

Eastern Coastal Technologies is an independent IT support business run by Josh Kimble, helping sole traders and small businesses resolve everyday technology problems without unnecessary cost, jargon or complexity. When you get in touch, you deal directly with the person assessing and carrying out the work.

About Me

I’m Josh Kimble, the owner of Eastern Coastal Technologies. I have more than four years of experience providing IT support to businesses, schools and individuals across Norfolk.

My experience includes Microsoft 365, business email, Windows devices, user accounts, networks, Wi-Fi, printers, shared files, backups and account security.

I started Eastern Coastal Technologies to provide local businesses and individuals with reliable IT support from someone they can speak to directly. When you get in touch, you deal with me from the initial enquiry through to completing the work, so I can understand the problem properly and recommend a clear, appropriate solution.

Why I started the business

IT support is often packaged into long contracts or recommendations that are larger than a customer actually needs.

I wanted to provide a more straightforward option for North Norfolk businesses and residents: understand the problem, explain the realistic options and recommend the solution that makes sense for the situation.

Sometimes that means introducing a new system or service. Often it means repairing, reconfiguring or making better use of what is already there.

My recommendations are based on what is appropriate for the problem, rather than on selling the largest package or longest contract.

How support works

You do not need to know the technical cause before getting in touch. Describe what is happening, who it affects and when it started. I will ask any necessary questions and explain the next practical step.

Eastern Coastal Technologies is based in North Norfolk and supports customers in the surrounding area. Many software, email and account issues can be handled remotely. On-site visits can be arranged where work involves physical equipment, networking, Wi-Fi or hands-on setup.

Availability for on-site work depends on the location and type of job.

Tell me what is going wrong

Send a short description of the issue and who it affects.

Remote or on-site

I assess whether it can be resolved remotely or needs an on-site visit.

Options and likely cost

I explain the proposed work and likely cost before substantial chargeable work begins wherever the issue can reasonably be assessed in advance.

A practical approach to IT support

Clear explanations

I explain problems and options in plain English so you can make an informed decision.

Appropriate solutions

I recommend solutions that match the size, budget and actual needs of the business.

No unnecessary complexity

I aim to resolve problems in the simplest sensible way rather than adding products or subscriptions without a clear benefit.

Direct accountability

You deal directly with the person carrying out the work, from the first enquiry through to completion.

Practical business security

I can help improve the everyday security of your business through measures such as multi-factor authentication, password management, account reviews, software updates, backups and protection against common threats.

The aim is to reduce avoidable risks without making systems unnecessarily difficult for you or your staff to use.
