Who we are

This website is run by Eastern Coastal Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16327158), registered office 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Contact: support@easterncoastaltechnologies.com.

What we collect

If you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us: phone number, town or postcode, whether the enquiry is for home or business, and your message. We also record the date and time, your browser's user-agent and a one-way hash of your IP address, which helps us block spam and abuse.

Like most websites, our hosting and network provider processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Why we use it

We use enquiry details only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to provide and administer the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running and securing the website. We will never add you to a marketing list or sell your data.

Who processes it

Enquiries are stored on our own server and emailed to us using Zoho Mail. The site is delivered through Cloudflare. These providers act as processors on our behalf.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner. If we add privacy-friendly visitor statistics in future, they will not use cookies or identify you personally.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and for reasonable administrative, legal and security purposes, and then delete them. Customer records are kept for as long as the law requires (for example, six years for accounting records).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to or restrict how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
